A Joyful First Annual Day at the Early Years Campus

The Annual Day celebration at the Early Years Campus was a truly heartwarming and joyful event. On the evening of December 1, 2024, our young learners were brimming with excitement as they prepared to take the stage and share their talents with an eager audience.

This was no ordinary celebration — it marked a special milestone as the first-ever Annual Day at our new campus. Titled “A Journey of Friendship”, the event celebrated the spirit of togetherness, joy, and discovery. The theme of friendship, a concept close to the hearts of our young learners, came alive through vibrant performances. The children sang, danced, and spoke with confidence, supported lovingly by their teachers and cheered on by their peers.

Each child had a meaningful role to play, and their happiness radiated through every smile and step. Under the starlit sky of the amphitheatre, our little ones shone with pride, lighting up the evening with their innocence and enthusiasm.

The audience—filled with proud parents and grandparents—relished every moment, applauding the creativity and confidence of our Early Years children.

This memorable evening was a beautiful reminder of what’s possible when children are given the space to grow, express themselves freely, and be celebrated for exactly who they are.

Alumni - Narrative Writing Workshop

Our school organized a narrative writing workshop on 13th February. Conducted by Ms. Ambika Vora Nagino, a DAIS alumni and the esteemed author of the critically acclaimed novel 'Spin of Fate', the immersive workshop on narrative writing was an engaging experience that provided deep insights into the world of fiction through various activities.

It covered all the elements of storytelling: world-building, characterisation, prose and voice, and plot, through thought-provoking questions, group discussions, and interesting examples. In a space full of unique ideas and fantastic creativity, learners developed their own characters and their own worlds. As the different aspects were tied together, all the young writers were now equipped with a cohesive framework to write their own stories.

Ms. Vora Nagino also shared her personal writing experiences, inspiring a generation of excited learners to take upon their own journeys in literature.

Empowering Young Minds

Students of the Middle School at NMAJS dived deep into the theme of Perseverance , as enthusiastic parents stepped up with creative activities and brilliant stories to recreate the magic of storytelling. The story of Helen Keller could not have had a more powerful impact when students blindfolded themselves to perceive the world around them without the luxury of sight. The Satellite tunnel library provided a befitting setting for the story Jonathan Livingston Seagull.

The tale of Black Beauty enthralled the young learners of Grade 6B. The biography of Abdul Kalam ‘Wings Of Fire’ drove home a strong message that humble beginnings may lead to great heights. An extract from JK Rowling's speech on perseverance was emphasised with an activity to build on marshmellows using toothpicks.

The objective was to keep trying until one builds the tallest structure. It showed the importance of failure to reach the desired results. This experience will go a long way in fostering a love for books and reading in our young students.
