History Close to Home
Classes 7A and 7B explored their unit “What’s in Your Neighbourhood?” through a bilingual Learning Centre activity on the Battle of Vasai (1739). Students used English resources to understand the historical event and then created posters with Marathi headings and key points. They researched the Maratha victory and its impact on Vasai Fort and the nearby Vasai–Virar villages, connecting local ruins, cannons, and churches to the area’s identity today.

Inspiring Through Music
Amaara Shroff of MYP 6A, along with Azad Monhot-Shah of PYP Class 3B and her team of young student leaders, volunteers every weekend to teach violin at Mumbai’s Muktangan Government schools.
With the support of Dream-To-Play Foundation and the Real Madrid Foundation (Spain), they’ve launched a summer camp for public school children, ages 10–13, to nurture music, movement, and leadership.
This special journey concluded with a performance at the NCPA.

When Young Minds Unite, Advocacy Becomes Action
Over the course of three vibrant weeks, our Class 1 PYP students and Class 6 MYP learners came together with a shared mission: to advocate for the sustainable use of water — a vital resource for all living things.
This cross-grade collaboration went far beyond creating posters. It was about making meaning — connecting classroom learning to real-world challenges and empowering students of different ages to engage in authentic, student-led action.

Empowering Young Minds
Students of the Middle School at NMAJS dived deep into the theme of Perseverance , as enthusiastic parents stepped up with creative activities and brilliant stories to recreate the magic of storytelling. The story of Helen Keller could not have had a more powerful impact when students blindfolded themselves to perceive the world around them without the luxury of sight. The Satellite tunnel library provided a befitting setting for the story Jonathan Livingston Seagull.
