UKG Learners Explore Habitats at the Botanical Udyan & Zoo

As part of their ongoing inquiry into how living things share and depend on the environment, our UKG learners visited the Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Botanical Udyan & Zoo to explore real-life animal habitats.

During the visit, students observed a variety of animals—including penguins, lions, tigers, and monkeys—allowing them to deepen their understanding of how different habitats meet the diverse needs of living organisms. This hands-on experience strengthened their conceptual learning about adaptation, interdependence, and the importance of environmental care.

Beyond scientific observation, the field trip also provided meaningful opportunities for children to practice empathy, patience, teamwork, and responsible group behaviour—skills essential for nurturing respect for the planet and its many forms of life.
