Saketaram Manikantan of MYP Class 8A and Samar Sinha of Class 8D represented Team India at the International Competition for Young Debaters (ICYD) Finals Day, held at the prestigious Oxford Union, UK, on 2 May 2026.

Competing against top young debaters from around the world, the team progressed to the Semi-Finals, delivering a strong and consistent performance throughout the competition.

Their achievements include:

• Second Best Team advancing to the outrounds, securing 10 out of 12 points across 4 preliminary rounds
• Saketaram Manikantan – Best ESL Speaker Award
• Samar Sinha – Third Best ESL Speaker Award
