Ahaan Kataruka Excels at International FIDE-Rated Chess Tournament

Ahaan Kataruka of Class 5 A delivered an impressive performance at the Shakti Grandeur 9.0 International Open FIDE-Rated Classical Chess Tournament, held in Vadodara, Gujarat, from 20–24 April 2026.

Competing against a strong field of 366 participants from across the world, including players from India, Canada, Cyprus, and Zimbabwe, as well as 10 titled players such as Grandmasters and International Masters, Ahaan showcased exceptional skill and composure throughout the tournament.

His outstanding performance earned him Second Place in the 1500–1599 Rating Category in the Overall Open Tournament, along with prize money.
