As part of the Class 7 Interdisciplinary Unit ‘Building a Resilient Future’, students are exploring how communities respond to crises. The unit encourages students to think critically about real-world challenges and develop solutions that balance immediate needs with sustainable outcomes.

The students participated in an engaging session conducted by Priya Naik, Founder & CEO, Samhita, focusing on disaster resilience and decision-making.

Through the simulation “The Mayor’s 3 Decisions”, students worked in groups to analyse a Mumbai flood scenario, evaluate multiple challenges, and prioritise solutions based on urgency and impact. They presented their ideas through brief elevator pitches, demonstrating their ability to think critically and collaborate effectively.
The session concluded with reflections on systems thinking and the importance of balancing immediate action with long-term planning. Overall, it was a meaningful learning experience that strengthened students’ analytical and communication skills.
