Class 1 Learners Step into the World of Space Exploration with - Dr. Rachel Trehan

During our inquiry into The Role of Technology in Helping Us Understand the Solar System, our Class 1 learners participated in an inspiring guest speaker session with Dr. Rachel Trehan, a space scientist. She shared her experiences working at NASA on the Space Shuttle Program and spoke about the International Space Station (ISS) — its purpose, history, and some of the important missions conducted on board.
Dr. Trehan also demonstrated how the ISS is resupplied and introduced learners to SpaceX and its missions. The session concluded with fascinating insights into the Hubble Telescope, including its function, background, and some of its most remarkable discoveries.
Our young learners were fully engaged throughout the session, showing great curiosity through their thoughtful questions and responses, which helped deepen their understanding of space and the role of technology in exploration.
