From Barter to Banks
Class 3 students recently embarked on an enriching educational trip to the RBI Monetary Museum in Fort, where they explored the fascinating evolution of trade and money. As they toured the exhibits, they discovered a wide array of currencies from different historical periods, gaining firsthand insight into how monetary systems have developed over time.
A special highlight of the visit was their interaction with the museum curator, who shared intricate details about the minting of coins and printing of paper currency at the Reserve Bank. This immersive experience not only deepened the students’ understanding of trade systems, but also vividly brought their classroom learning to life.
