Class 2 Explores Nature
As part of the ongoing inquiry into Sharing the Planet, our Class 2 learners visited Maharashtra Nature Park—a vibrant green oasis in the heart of the city. The experience offered students a rich, hands-on opportunity to connect classroom learning with the natural world.
During the visit, students:
- Observed a wide variety of plants, insects, and butterflies in their natural habitats
- Explored how human actions impact the environment, both positively and negatively
- Learned about the importance of conservation, waste management, and biodiversity
- Participated in guided nature walks, asking thoughtful questions, sharing observations, and documenting their learning through sketches and notes
- Reflected on the role that urban green spaces play in supporting living things
This engaging experience deepened students’ understanding of interdependence, responsibility, and environmental stewardship. They returned to school inspired and eager to take their inquiry further.
