Learning Comes Alive
As part of their ongoing inquiry into how living beings share the planet, students visited Byculla Zoo, where they observed a variety of animals in real-life settings. Learners were excited as they explored different enclosures, noting external features, movement, and feeding habits, and discussing how these help animals survive in their habitats.
They compared animals living on land, in water, and in the air, making connections to their classroom learning. Reflection activities encouraged them to think about the role humans play in creating safe and caring shared spaces for animals. The visit strengthened their understanding of conservation, empathy, and responsibility while bringing their inquiry to life in a meaningful way.
