Voices of Experience – Seniors Share Their Journeys
In the spirit of collaboration across grade levels, and as part of our unit on Identities and Sources of Inspiration, our Class 3 learners had the special opportunity to engage with their senior peers and listen to their inspiring journeys.
From national achievements in robotics and triathlons, to powerful voices advocating for women empowerment, to creativity expressed through writing and music – each senior shared the people who inspired them, the choices they made, and the challenges they overcame along the way.
Our young learners reflected on these stories through the Visible Thinking Routine Connect–Extend–Challenge, making meaningful connections to their own lives, extending their perspectives, and thinking about how inspiration shapes identity. Hearing personal experiences directly from their seniors made the learning more authentic and impactful.
It was heartening to see the seniors demonstrate such care, patience, and generosity of spirit. Equally, it was a proud moment to witness them embrace the opportunity to inspire their younger schoolmates. This engagement not only left our Class 3 learners deeply inspired but also motivated them to reflect on their own journeys of growth, courage, and possibility.
