From Learning About Waste to Taking Action
As part of our Waste Management Unit, our Class 4 learners stepped beyond the classroom and into the real world through a meaningful clean-up drive at Dadar Beach.
Armed with gloves, determination, and a sense of responsibility, students collected plastic waste while witnessing firsthand the impact of human consumption on our environment. Despite the heat, they remained enthusiastic, committed, and focused on making a positive difference.
This experience helped learners connect their classroom understanding of waste management to real-world action, encouraging them to think critically about the choices we make every day and the consequences those choices have on our communities and ecosystems.
💭 Through their reflections, students recognised that:
♻️ We need to rethink our consumption habits.
♻️ Waste segregation starts at home.
♻️ Plastic pollution threatens marine life.
♻️ Small actions can lead to meaningful change.
♻️ Responsible waste management is everyone's responsibility.
By moving from awareness to action, our learners are taking their first steps towards becoming informed, responsible, and environmentally conscious changemakers.
