A Day of Fun and Friendship at B J Home

Our PYP Class 4 kids at NMAJS had an amazing time recently visiting B J Home for Children. They spent a lovely afternoon hanging out with the children there, sharing fun number games, making cool crafts like ‘squishies’ and friendship bands, and enjoying some lively playtime with kho-kho, football, and cricket.

What really made the day special was how both groups got to highlight their talents, from singing and dancing to gymnastics and music. It was truly a fun and joyful way to connect and appreciate each other.

Interhouse Instrumental Competition

The first NMAJS and DAIS Interhouse Instrumental Music Competition hit all the right notes in a thrilling showdown of rhythm, harmony, and house pride! With instruments in hand and passion in their hearts, students from Grades 6 to 8 and Grades 9 to 11 lit up the stage, turning the spotlight into a celebration of raw musical talent.

Celebrating Literacy

Our PYP students gathered in cosy little circles at the Library for a special Campfire Reading session. Each class shared their thoughts on the books they’d been reading, had some great peer discussions, and teamed up to talk about their biggest takeaways. The session wrapped up with lively group presentations, where students shared what they learned and what they loved most about their reading adventures.

Threads of Wonder

Our UKG learners had a wonderful time visiting the Swadesh Exhibition at NMACC. They watched traditional weavers at work and were amazed by how threads came together to make beautiful patterns. Their curious questions and wide-eyed wonder made the visit even more special. One of the highlights was a fun block printing activity, where the children got to create their own colourful art on paper. It was messy, creative, and so much fun! It gave them a new love for handmade things.

Interhouse Art Competition MYP

With majestic brushstrokes and bold ideas, our students showcased incredible creativity and heart in this year’s art competition!

Grades 6–8 explored sustainability and selflessness, reminding us that protecting our planet starts with caring for each other.

Grades 9–11 brought the theme "Small actions, big impact" to life, proving that even the smallest effort can spark meaningful change with talent, thoughtfulness, and passion in every piece!

Buddha Purnima Celebrations at EYC

Our young learners came together for an assembly to celebrate Buddha Purnima. The children listened carefully to the story of Gautam Buddha’s life. The story helped them learn about his teachings and the important values of kindness, mindfulness, and peace that he practised. During the assembly, students and teachers took calm breaths, sat in quiet reflection, and shared warm smiles.

Sharing Adventures, Building Bridges

On May 6th, our students actively participated in a vibrant online Round Square Worldwide 'Show and Tell' event, connecting with peers from schools across the globe. The engaging theme for this session was “Our Favourite Adventure,” challenging students to share their memorable experiences through concise 2-minute presentations followed by an interactive Q & A session.

Acrostics of Affection

In a heartwarming celebration of Mother's Day, the students of Class 1B poured their love and gratitude into beautiful acrostic poems — each one inspired by the most special word of all: MOTHER.

Their poems reflected the many qualities that make mothers so extraordinary:
M – Magical
O – Original
T – Thoughtful
H – Helpful
E – Energetic
R – Radiant

From Vada Pav to Values

Our curious learners marked Maharashtra's 65th birthday by reflecting on and writing about the things they love most about our vibrant and diverse state. From ‘vada pav’ to Sanjay Gandhi National Park, the Marathi language spoken to the different people we meet every day, our learners beautifully captured the essence of महाराष्ट्र.

Waste Segregation in Action

Our curious Grade 4 learners recently took a field trip to the Dry Waste Collection Centre in Bandra, run by the Aasra Welfare Foundation along with the BMC. They got an up-close look at how Mumbai’s dry waste is sorted into more than 48 categories — including plastic, e-waste, glass, textiles, and multi-layered packaging (MLP). Students walked through primary and secondary segregation areas, learned how different materials are recovered, and even watched machines compress plastic into neat, compact bales ready for recycling.
