Buddha Purnima Celebrations at EYC
Our young learners came together for an assembly to celebrate Buddha Purnima. The children listened carefully to the story of Gautam Buddha’s life. The story helped them learn about his teachings and the important values of kindness, mindfulness, and peace that he practised. During the assembly, students and teachers took calm breaths, sat in quiet reflection, and shared warm smiles.

They got an up-close look at how Mumbai’s dry waste is sorted into more than 48 categories — including plastic, e-waste, glass, textiles, and multi-layered packaging (MLP). Students walked through primary and secondary segregation areas, learned how different materials are recovered, and even watched machines compress plastic into neat, compact bales ready for recycling.
