HOPE 2025 – The DAIS & NMAJS Fete 

The school fete was a joyful and well-organised event that brought the entire community together for a day full of fun, food, and interactions. Committees like Decor, Entertainment, Raffles and Prizes, and Media collaboratively worked behind the scenes to ensure a festive and well-planned evening. Colourful decorations, wholesome performances, and smooth coordination ensured that everything ran seamlessly, keeping spirits high throughout the day.

Primary Athletic Meet 2025

The NMAJS Primary Athletic Meet was an action-packed day filled with excitement, energy, and determination! Held as an inter-house event for students from Classes 1 to 5, the meet gave our young athletes the perfect opportunity to showcase their speed, teamwork, and competitive spirit.

The event kicked off with a spectacular march past, where students from each house marched in perfect synchronization to the drumbeats.

A Joyful First Annual Day at the Early Years Campus

The Annual Day celebration at the Early Years Campus was a truly heartwarming and joyful event. On the evening of December 1, 2024, our young learners were brimming with excitement as they prepared to take the stage and share their talents with an eager audience.

Annual Athletic Meet-Early Years

The Annual Athletic Meet for Early Years, held on Thursday, 30th January 2025, brought together movement, enthusiasm, and celebration on the sports field. Our youngest learners arrived with bright smiles, loads of energy and excitement.

The meet began with a march past, where the children walked proudly and confidently in class levels, waving at their parents. It was a heartwarming moment that set the tone for the day, filled with pride, togetherness, and joy.

PYP Art Exhibition 2024–2025

The PYP Annual Art Exhibition, held alongside the DAIS CAS Fete, on the school grounds, was a colourful celebration of creativity and imagination.

Our PYP artists from Classes 1 to 5 proudly displayed their beautiful work exploring the themes of line, pattern, and shape. The variety and creativity on display truly reflected the students' unique perspectives and growing artistic skills.

The Evolution of Trade: A Century in Business 

Class 3 students had a fantastic opportunity to engage with Mr. Umesh Merchant, owner of J J & Sons, a century-old shoe store in South Mumbai. He shared how his family business evolved from traditional retail to digital sales, highlighting the impact of technology, changing consumer demands, and economic shifts. Students eagerly asked questions about sourcing materials and trade practices, making real-world connections to their learning. The session sparked curiosity about how trade has changed over time.

A Festive Blend of Learning and Culture

The spirit of Eid was alive at NMAJS, when students of Classes MYP 6 to 8 celebrated the festival with enthusiasm. During a special assembly, Class 6 performed a skit based on Munshi Premchand’s short story, ‘Eidgah,’ effectively conveying the theme of love, sacrifice, and community. The celebration also featured an energetic dance performance that enhanced the festive spirit. 

NMAJS Tour for PYP Parents

 A guided school tour was conducted for the parents of the PYP students at NMAJS to give them an insight into their children's daily learning environment. The tour aimed to strengthen the home-school connection by acquainting parents with the facilities, routines, and specialist spaces their children experience throughout the day.

 A Day of Learning, Empathy, and Inspiration for Class 5

 Our Class 5 students recently had the opportunity to visit the Jai Vakeel Foundation in Mumbai – an organization doing incredible work to support children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It was a heartwarming and eye-opening experience that left a lasting impact on our young learners.
